Welcome to Lorraine Young Cakes. Lorraine has been working in the catering industry for over 25 years as a qualified pastry chef.

After doing a full time catering course at 18, Lorraine started her career working in one of the world’s finest luxury 5 star hotels called Cliveden. While she was there she studied and passed her City and Guilds 706-3 pastry course. After 3 years Lorraine moved on to progress in her career working in other 5 star country house hotels. Moving into London Lorraine became pastry chef at The Carlton Club for over 10 years.

After that period of time Lorraine become a free lance pastry chef working at both the prestigious Spencer House and The Oxford and Cambridge Club.

Over Lorraine’s years in catering she has been asked to create many wedding and celebration cakes for friends, family and clients. This is what she now loves doing the most, meeting people and helping them create a wonderful looking and tasting cake for their special occasion.

Whatever the occasion there is always a cake to be made, after all who doesn’t love cake!
